I had a fantastic stay where I enjoyed a brilliant breakfast and relaxed in a comfy room, making it so easy to explore nearby landmarks like Durisdeer Parish Church and Morton Castle, which are just a short walk away.

Unfortunately, I had a bit of a pickle with my room being too hot to handle, making sleep a challenge. The plumbing issues were a bummer too, but the management's efforts helped keep the spirits up!

The Standard Double Room was comfy and spacious, perfect for a solo traveler. I loved the walk-in shower and the tub was a plus. The room stayed super cozy with efficient heating, and the wooden shutters helped block out any street noise. Internet was quick, too! a solid spot to crash in Thornhill.

the buccleuch is a lovely building with very quirky interiors. the deluxe triple room was spacious and well-equipped, especially the en-suite bathroom! the staff at the front desk were super friendly and accommodating, even during their busy night. it’s also located in a wonderful setting, close to all essentials.

We spent two nights in a spacious room with an excellent en-suite featuring a rain shower. The staff were friendly, but the dinner options lacked creativity. Future guests should try the vegetarian menu but manage expectations for the culinary experience.
